THE GOSPEL, IN LATIN

This, like nothing before, has impressed upon me the wonderful priveledge we enjoy of having the Bible in our own language. Think of the implications for you if the Vulgate was the only version you had. One should study the Bible for what it says about God's perfect plan for man, but also, I think to a tiny amount out of gratitude to those who did the mammoth task of translating it into our own language. Yes Yf, like you said: what a priviledge to have the Word in one's own language, and that : thanks to those translators who struggle for years and years to find the exact words and expressions that best fit the original Script!
